Funeral for Your Fears
New York - 2019
This work explored a physical and cathartic release of fears. Participants were guided through a series of stations where they meditated on a fear they wanted to let go of, while listening to 42Hz heart opening music via silent disco headphones.
Participants then selected a flower to infuse their fear into and were guided into a “Mourning Room”. This room included a coffin where they ultimately left their flower and fear behind, and could take a moment to morn what they had just released.
This piece was created in collaboration with artist Lennie Zhu.
