Vulnerable // Voyeur

Pew Pew Miami - 2022

This piece explores active vs passive participation. Guests could navigate two juicy booths where they could choose to be Vulnerable, a Voyeur, or both.

In the VULNERABLE booth, participants were asked to make a voice recording for the prompt: “What's something you've never voiced that needs to be said?" This was meant as a safe, private moment to release something - whatever came to them that needed to be expressed.

Next door in the VOYEUR booth, participants could listen to recordings of others answering the same prompt. An opportunity to both witness and maybe even find common ground in what others had said.

The recordings made in this installation were truly touching. People really went there on a variety of subjects and the vulnerability was palpable.
